Terrascope has just finished a batch of 14 slides from different cave sites investigated along the Palaeo Silk Road. All the thin sections look so different, even within a same site. Some are very organic, some are full of calcite, and others are pure clay. But all of them are beautiful (see more pictures below). Now the researcher will study them to investigate sedimentation processes and human activities at the sites.
