Thin sections from a Neolithic furnace in Jordan

Terrascope offers a tailored service like for these samples from a Neolithic furnace in Jordan. The researcher requested we sample the blocks before impregnation for geochemistry analysis. We sampled the sediment in tubes along the profile of the blocks, recording the location of each sample. After the blocks were cured, we cut a slab of each and sent a picture to the researcher so she could decide exactly where she wants her thin sections. On her request too, the slabs were mounted on 2mm glass instead of 3mm as we usually do. The grinding went well and the thin sections are now ready to be shipped to the researcher along with the sediment samples.
