Thin sections from walls

Still making slides despite COVID19

Terrascope is still open despite the lock-down due to the pandemic of COVID19 and we are still producing beautiful micromorphological thin sections.

Below you will see photographs of our last batch for the University of Edinburgh. The blocks come from two different sites in the UK and all concern earth walls. Some blocks were quite long and we had to prepare multiple thin sections to cover the whole sequence. We paid attention to the overlapping of the slides so the researcher can observe the complete sequence without any gap.

We will keep producing thin sections as normal in the next weeks. We can still get more resin delivered to impregnate blocks and the postal service is working almost like normal (just a bit slow) so do not hesitate to send us your samples! Contact us for a quote and follow us on Instagram.
