Thin sections of loess deposits from a German Gravettian open air site

Terrascope has manufactured 10 slides of loess deposits from a German Gravettian open air site. The site of Feldberg “Steinacker” (Müllheim, Baden-Württemberg) is located in the Rhine valley and is reknown for its large lithic assemblage including Font-Robert and Microgravette points. The settlement is actually interpreted as a knapping workshop.

The thin sections will be studied in micromorphology to identify natural, anthropogenic and post-depositional processes at the site.
