Terrascope is extending its micromorphology analysis services to international. Now we offer a complete service from the preparation of thin sections to their micromorphological analysis. Micromorphological reports are available in French in English. Sabrina Save works on a variety of contexts, from rural settlements to urban stratigraphy, to help you answer various research questions from palaeo-soils to constructed floors, from colluvial to alluvial deposits, and identify specific human activities and trampling features.
Your report will include a high resolution scan of your thin sections, in both PPL and XPL, as well as a drawing of the micromorphological slides, with all the micromorphological units and specific features identified. Microphotographs of the highest quality of the main micromorphological features and biological/anthropogenic inclusions will also be taken and included as illustrations of our macroscopic and microscopic descriptions. All the micromophological features will be fully described, documented and interpreted to help you answer your research questions.
